Pretty funny, and not long enough for the simple story to get boring.

This is the best silent short ever for two reasons. 1) A bald-ass eagle snags a baby for literally no reason. 2) D.W. Griffith(?) wrestles with the eagle on the side of a cliff before beating it to death with a club. If that doesn't make you want to see this, I don't know what will.

A muppet eagle steals a baby and then a lumberjack of some kind beats the shit out of it to retrieve said baby. Movies of this era are fucking insanely awesome.

His movies might sometimes be boring or extremely racist, but D.W. Griffith is actually pretty badass, as proven here, where he beats an eagle to death and then casually kicks it off a cliff when done. Hilarious.
