Quite good.

Average acting, average script, average film. Has been done before and better. A few twists keep you interested.

Decent enough acting, with a concept just paranoid enough to promise some entertainment. But the script is lousy, the way the plot is (or, more to the point, isn't) worked out is just awful, and the characters keep doing idiotic things NO one would ever do. The whole thing is so very overwrought, to no good end. A total mess.

This is one of those eye-opening experiences where I made a significant realization: I think I hate Thandie Newton. I've only seen her in three movies, but she was nearly the same character. Not sure if it's her fault, the writers' or her magical macbook. I thought the film was good for something independent and minimalistic. The story has a couple of twists to keep it interesting. The movie is a must-see simply for Jamie Bell's imaginary food and bowl-scraping solo plus bonus encore afterwards.
