Remarkable for being a pervasively sleazy and cheesy '70s crime movie that not only fails to glorify revenge, but instead portrays it as a dissatisfying dead-end for all involved. Christopher Mitchum sleepwalks through every scene and the subtext here is actually all the better for it.
