Rigoletto updated as a caustic corporate satire a la Crispin Glover's dumb Bartleby, with surreal sight gags, wordplay, and ill-advised intertextual touches (a clip from American Psycho is spliced into aw hell I'm not getting into it), yet winkingly operatic to aggravating effect with one of the worst scores ever. But some of it is really funny, and the later tonal shifts come off better than expected thanks mostly to Agnes Bruckner, the most underrated actress alive. Also: Satanic Dylan Baker.

Bizarre, offkilter, and oddly rewarding. Great Pullman role, and Aaron Stanford has some laughs. Agnes Bruckner is a toothy cutie.
