The funniest stand-up set I have ever seen. Ricky Gervais is an absolute genius, and his understated delivery is pure comic gold. He even surpasses the great Eddie Murphy from the late 80s.

I'm not a big fan of stand-up shows, but I do like Ricky Gervais. I've actually seen stuff by him much funnier than this, but this was still seriously hilarious at moments. Gotta love the gay animals bit.

Ricky Gervais is a hilarious, hilarious man. I actually like his stand-up better than his performance in The Office, and that's saying a lot. Very few stand up acts stand out to me, actually, but Gervais is one of them.

There are a couple of great extended sequences, and it all hangs together nicely. The comic obnoxiousness is a nice touch that sets him aside from other comedians and makes the whole thing well worth a watch. The highlight by far is the opening skit with the nature documentary voiceover, though.

By far the stongest of Gervais' stand-up shows. It feels original, intelligent and satisfyingly sarcastic. This for me is the only one of his stand-up shows that doesn't have any weak areas and is quality all the way through. It has to be said however that Gervais' area of expertise remains sitcom's rather than stand-up or movies.
