A zany but fairly derivative comedy which tries to meld ideas from popular French movies Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis and Taxi, with a generic romcom strand perhaps loosely modelled on Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. The romance-vs-family angle has more mileage than the farcical drug-smuggling subplot. The ebb and flow of Camembert and chip-based insults is spirited but all rather predictable. Nationalism, yawn. Some watchable characters in a weak vehicle; this one is less than the sum of its parts.
