The first 20 minutes is pure perfection in both style and execution. Came before "the Hitcher" but way, way after Mr. "Hitch" ;)

I really liked it. Nice Rear Window like atmosphere, good build up, charasmatic main guy, nice chemistry between main guy and Curtis.

Not very high on tension or complex situations, but this Rear Window On The Road is a pretty decent watch.

Having seen this as an adolescent, I rewatched it (August 7, 2010), and still found it to be largely enjoyable, with some good dialogue and characterization, and even some interesting camerawork, the whole being aided quite a bit by a very likable pair of leads. The greatest weakness is probably the fact that it is so preoccupied with character and mood that it forgets to create much tension in those scenes requiring it.

It could have been a lot better, it's bit of a letdown. A main influence on 'The Hitcher'.
