Role Models' situational shtick isn't derived from real-life experience as in Knocked Up and Superbad, but from the cardboard characterisations hall of fame. Utilizing Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott to occasionally hilarious effect, Wain's film ranks far more hit-and-miss than the strongest of its comedic competitors. It's what Yasser Usman might have dubbed a time pass movie because, unlike Knocked Up and the like, it's simply over when it's over. But yes, "let us gingerly touch our tips."
