saw this in school, thought it was a pretty funny rendition of the book, and after reading the book this is an interesting movie to check out

Genius to use Shakespearean with a modern setting.

This film has some issues that really annoyed me. All started like cheap comedy which was quite disturbing whilst knowing that this should be a tradegy. Fortunately that was only in the first half of the film. Poor performance by side roles. Soundtrack was sometimes fine with classical works, but then out of context comes pop/rock music. But I liked scenes, big ad posters, written in old English phrases and thanks to Shakespeare, the plot is great. Lovers rightfully die in the end.
