What could finish in two hours, spans more than four!

From master plagerizer/storyteller Stephen King comes this uncredited ripoff of "The Haunting" which bears more similarities to the Shirley Jackson story than the 1999 remake. The normally awesome Nancy Travis, horribly miscast as Liam Neeson, leads a very talented cast (minus the token autistic kid; she's awful) into a rollercoaster ride of cliche-ridden haunted house gags and made-for-tv jump scares. Thank you Stephen King for finally proving you COULD do worse than "Maximum Overdrive".

Your enjoyment of this series will depend on your enjoyment of Stephen King. If you're willing to sit through dozens of familiar plot devices (telepathic autistics and a band of misfits, to name a few), you'll find that this is a well-made, suspenseful series. Possibly more visually creative than the Haunting remake, this is well worth a viewing by horror fans and Stephen King fans alike.

This is a terrible failure, Im suprised no one in the filmcrew destroyed the whole thing before it was released to poor humanity.

Somewhat long, but ultimately suspenseful ghost horror like they are supposed to be.

Ok first you should know I'm not really into haunted house films; second I'm not into made for t/v.....BUT I love Stephen King & I really like this

Starts off with so much potential with interesting characters but it just seems to dawdle along for too long and the scares aren't scary for most of it.

The definetive haunted house movie. This one has psychics, corpses, vampires, mad professers, even a Carrie-like charactor, and anything else you can think of.

S. King can't always accomplish to write good books and therefore, not all the movies based on them are good... just like this one.

Mostly interesting spectacle isn't as captivating as it should be due to extreme running time and familiar plot contrivances. Still, it's pretty well acted, and the house itself is amazing.
