On the one hand, the live performances are electrifying. On the other, the story barely qualifies to be told in two dimensions. It instills the atmosphere of doom that must have permeated Thatcher's Britain, but goes nowhere with offstage footage of The Clash. Members of the band, especially Strummer, seem too guarded to really let loose. Major credit is due to Ray Gange though, in the featurette after the movie he owns up for his role and takes a giant crap on the filmmakers in doing so.
