I've now seen everything directed by Satyajit Ray except the documentary Sikkim (which has just recently had a 40-year ban lifted, and is due to be screened next year on his 90th birthday). This is short film about a sickly lower-caste who needs spiritual counseling from a Brahmin, but is made to do grueling labor before he will help. Although slightly simplistic, it still manages to pack a wallop and is done with Ray's usual deft handling of human dynamics and emotional resonance.
