The moral of the story seems to be that communism isn't the solution, but nothing's better so stick with communism. A mixed message to say the least. The production design is certainly ambitious with many old school effects harkening back to Melies. Not sure I can even recommend this for children. [MST3k has a ball on this one and also has some of their best skits ever.]
