Summary: Self-made businessman Balachandran (Mammootty) falls in love with & marries Nirmala (Sukanya). Soon after, his financing company & hotel is threatened when he locks horns with an influential person, K. K. Nair (Johny), for attempting to use his hotel for prostitution. Faced with a rush of investors trying to withdraw their money, Balachandran has to sell all his assets to repay them. He takes to drinking, resulting in Nirmala leaving him.
