Far and away the worst of Hammer's Dracula films. Lee has more to do than usual, but even he seems a bit bored by it all.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand it's got a sadistic Dracula played gleefully by Christopher Lee, and on the other hand it's cheap looking and mostly boring.

Well, Hammer was now allowed to have naked babes in their movies, but the old formulas were seriously wearing thin by this point. A movie featuring Christopher Lee as Dracula should not ever be this boring

A decent Hammer House production; Christopher Lee is, of course, fantastic in the role, and there is that great aura of Gothic horror Hammer House is known for. Aside from that, it suffers from pacing issues, and the ending is so ridiculous and vaudeville I actually started laughing. Ultimately, you know what you're getting with most of these Hammer House Dracula films; it's alright, but far from their best.

One of the weakest Hammer Draculas conversely features more Lee than ever before. Cardboard sets and chintzy, bat-on-a-string special effects sink much of this, though Hanley and Waterman are one of Hammer's most likable young romantic couples and there's more sex and blood than in any other Hammer Drac pic.

Overpadded vampire saga, its few effective moments stemming directly from the original novel.
