This film avoids copying American serial killer movies (i.e. Seven). The two main characters are believable human beings, and are not reduced to the stereotypes of the older-wiser cop and the young savage cop. The film contains some stunning scenes (the autopsy, a twist midway), but the ending is quite a failure.
