Summary: Sex and love. Some seek it, some need it, some spurn it and some pay for it, but we're all involved in it. Set on one afternoon on Hampstead Heath, London, the film investigates the minutiae of seven couples. What makes us tick? (imdb)

It's a little too staged in places, and at times the vignette structure feels like little more than an excuse to leave stories unfinished, but it's genuinely sweet; it might not endear itself to the more cynical viewers, but for everyone else it's surprisingly entertaining, given a simple concept.

Middle class people walking around being terribly middle class. Like a particularly boring bowel movement fried in tempura batter and served with houmus and mini pita.

Good talks and it's nice to note that figurants are not just figurants, you get involved with all of them (in exception of drinking ones). Great view of human being. Honest.

Like a series of half-overheard conversations. Nothing extraordinary or revelatory, but just normal little glimpses into some lives other than your own. It's a decent film, with some humour, and some sad bits. Kind of wistful. The parts with Eileen Atkins and Benjamin Whitrow were quite poignant, although a few of the other couples did seem annoyingly smug.

I love Hampstead Heath. That's pretty much all I loved about this though. There's nothing groundreaking about love and sex here. Some people can handle it and some can't. Loved Ewan Macgregor's scene though.

It amazes me when a script like this gets through. But I'm also glad that it has. Simple. Quaint. Charming. -- I found Noel quite endearing.
