I'm not really a huge fan of the series but I definitely thought this was the worst. It was *too* meta. Everyone knows everything about every horror movie and yet still gets killed in a horror movie way. The only scary part of this movie is the plastic surgery debacle that is Courtney Cox's face.

Enjoyable outing; gory but never really scary, preferring instead to play the situations for laughs, quite succesfully at times. Welcome returns by Campbell and Arquette, and a consistently funny reprisal for Cox, maintain interest, however younger cast members aren't that interesting or endearing and for all the film's worldliness about understanding the horror genre, the film's set-up and delivery feels quaint and anachronistic given the emergence of the 'torture-porn' genre in recent years.

The opening was pretty cute and all the original leads (who are still alive) are back... and old. So of course, there are a bunch of dumb teens too. Fast paced and enjoyable for the most part, but stupid ending.

You can make it as "meta" as you like, but movies about clumsy killers with knives running around suburban American houses offing nameless teens stopped being entertaining at least 10 years ago. Dull on so many levels.

All the references and self-awareness works to a straight A even though we´ve seen it all before in the very own franchise. But the horror parts doesnt and the acting from everyone except Panettiere is scary (and not in a good way) Loved the first part, hated the second and what's up with the fuck Bruce Willis? That was the low point of the movie. That and the revelation of Ghostface... Forgettable!

This is a hell of an obnoxious movie. It preaches how horror flicks should be made, but it is kind of ironic how horrible this one is. This is one is the worst of the lot, and considering how bad the others are, I hope this franchise is over and done with.

Scream 4 came with the proposal to start a new trilogy. It would be a good idea in modern times, with such evolution of the genre. But Wes did not bet on innovation, but also utilize the same methods as in the past decade. Relying more on famous little faces in the plot. The killings, which were before the differential of the film, this was quick and mismanagement. Black humor once again fell to comedy. We can compare Scream 4 with a subsequent bad remake. Unfortunately!

'Scream 4' is a hodgepodge of good ideas and bad ideas, interesting characters that get little attention, and stupid characters that get a lot of attention. With Craven and Williamson returning to this world after 11 years of wallowing in crap, why not really make this new nightmare into something more worthy and memorable? There are moments of inspiration here that make this better than most horror films running amok out there, but there aren't enough of those moments. Fans deserve better.

Did we all miss Scream or was Scream 3 just bad enough we collectively decided we needed another film to wash the bad taste out? Scream was THE horror movie for its time, but it's not 1996 anymore. It's far cheesier now. I think Scream 4 acknowledges that in its own way by being just as cheesy. It's a fun movie, but it's more a chance to revisit the characters than it is to reinvent the franchise.

Get a damn gun what is this fucking England? Anyway, this most recent installment in the inexplicable run of terrible sequels based on one brilliant movie = Tiger Beat with bloodshed.
The "murder collage" plot was on par with the likes of Sleepaway Camp 3 and my former crush Neve Campbell is no longer 23 years old. I highly recommend this because it's not fair that I had to watch it and you didn't.
