Summary: Football player Dan Heller (Gil Bellows) spends more time in the office than on the field. A reserve player for the Buffalo Bills, he rarely gets to play and fails to impress the impenetrable Coach Dichter (Jon Voight). But when star quarterback Doug Flutie (who co-stars as himself) is overcome with food poisoning, Heller, with the support of his wife (Teri Polo) and best friend (Richard T. Jones) gets the chance to prove he's a true athlete.
