Suggesting some kind of quasi-feminist Manhattan-boosterism has always made the Sex and the City series phony, as well as loathsome.

Originally I wanted to give two points for each time they showed the nanny and one for a short insert of Peter Gabriel's Passion, but the insert only turned out sound like it and the movie really was not worth for that high score.

If this were a satire of materialist consumerism and white privilege it would be hilarious. But it's not, so it isn't. Fuck this film, hard.

9 points for the arabian actors. they were quite comical. i think there were about four white, middle aged extras i kept seeing in the bar scenes. they were quite annoying and unnecessary. overall, i would have liked to see more character development for the arabian people. that would have probably made this a 10 point review.

I wonder how much it cost to get Liza Minnelli to perform at the wedding. I was never a huge fan of this crazy popular HBO show, but I do recognize that it was impactful. This movie though is brutal. How can they validate making this 2+ hrs long. Ugh I fell asleep, they should have quit after the first one. Didn't Aiden go through enough turmoil already with Carrie Bradshaw? ugh.

Felt like a last gasp for air. There was no real conflict. It seemed more like a vacation for the actresses. Or a big game of dress up. Kind of boring, a big disappointment for the sex and the city franchise. Seemed like they couldn't come up with any new ideas, maybe it's because 3/4 of them are married and 1/2 of them have children...They ran the show to the ground.

A sickening testament to consumption and self-absorption; a torrent of crass jokes, lazy plotting, and cultural ignorance. Presiding over it all is the unspeakable Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), who is obnoxious to her patient, sensible husband, and who calls on her three best friends (all significantly better human beings) to drop everything to help her through the most insignificant of moral crises. Too aggravating to be boring, but when Liza Minnelli's ghoulish cameo is just the beginning...

This film would be appropriate if it was made as an anti-west propaganda piece by a concerned middle-eastern contingent. It would also be above average (and hilarious in a brutally forward, male chauvinistic way) if it was a 1950's futuristic satire covering what would happen if humans with women's brains were given free power and money. I began to watch the film as if it was the latter about half way through, suddenly Nixon became a genius actor but I found Davis overplayed it a touch.

Surprisingly enjoyable romp (this from someone who has avoided the TV series and 2008 original on principle) which clearly revels in the ditzy and superficial lifestyles of its characters and pokes fun at some of their ridiculous world views (though whether the target audience is in on the joke is another matter). Film is far too silly and shallow to be offensive in its depiction of Muslim traditions; wears out its welcome with 45 minutes to go, but remains consistently entertaining.

There's a telling moment early on when Carrie opens the door 2 her jaw-droppingly amazing apartment, but we discover it's actually a step DOWN. The minds behind the franchise have chosen 2 continue 2 steer into the skid, w/ the emphasis now fully shifted from amusing, timely narratives w/ genuine conflict 2 superficial & exhausting BLING. Sure, this is women's power fantasy, but it's now reached the point that relatable problems essentially don't exist anymore unless ur a Kardashian spawn.

Well, it wasn't good. There were a few funny scenes but in comparison to the series - or even the first movie - it was quite disappointing. I just saw that I gave this a higher rating that "The Human Centipede". But at least that one had a plot. So ... -11 Points

I am offended. As a huge fan of the series, as a fan of cinema in general, and thanks to the tired score, soundtrack and kareoke scene, I am even offended as a musician. Shallow, mildly offensive, boring, ultimately pointless and just awful. Avoid this if you're a fan of the series, the previous film, cinema, fuck, avoid this if you're human.
