Summary: Terror makes a splash in this literally titled big-screen creature feature when a group of unsuspecting friends unpack for a weekend at the lake, only to discover that they're not the only ones lurking in the water.
Utter garbage in ever possible way. Terrible script with an idiotic plot, awful dialog, stupid characters and cheesy special effects. Damn it Donal Logue you're better than this.
This was a bad movie, but it was also an entertaining Popcorn movie so thats where it gets its points. It had potential to be a lot better as it had some great plot points, but with little gore and some bad CGI mixed in with dumb character decisions it made for somewhat of a painful viewing. The acting, however, was decent I will give it that, but at the end of the day its no secret why this was slammed by the critics, but its also going to please the right audiences too.
Massive plotholes. Murderers justifying their intentions with paper thin excuses and philosophical psychobabble. Superficial characterization. Plastic-looking, roaring, and flying sharks.
2 good points though: the nice variety of sharks and the hot (no nudity though) chicks.
well if you are going to make a shark attack movie you are going in the right direction becuase sharks are the scariest animals out there but if you are going to compete with jaws then you are in trouble because that movie was bad ass. This movie falls flat, there was nothing scary, there was maybe one interesting death scene and there were to many "what the heck?" moments. Not worth your time.
I gotta admit, i got a soft spot for shark movies. Jaws, being one of my favorite films of all time and the first horror/thriller that i ever saw , i thought , give it a shot. Even though it wasn't that bad, it could have been infinitively better. idea was cool, tho a bit silly. Put cams on sharks and make em kill people , then put it on youtube and make your money.. Right.. too bad all was medicore (script, acting, pacing ,"3D"effects), tho entertaining enuff
I was expecting it to be like Piranha 3d which almost gave me traumas, but I was surprised this movie didn't scare me unlike P3D. The sharks were not too bad, not the typical Great White overload, but many variations. And sharks happen to be my favourite animals, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a cookie cutter shark tearing away at some girl
How I manage to be disappointed by a film called Shark Night amazes me. Piranha (2010) proved you could do this sort of film right. It fails in every area. The kills and gore don't entertain, which pretty much ruins the entire point of a monster movie. Pacing and story advancements could of been better written and directed by a monkey. Didn't even manage to crack a single smile which even the megashark series manages to do. Avoid, even if its as a joke.
It's bad, but it could definitely be worse. The premise is pretty damn stupid, but it was a nice change from all those basic 'monster is released and eats people' films.
