"Shattered", although it can't rise above the eternal B-movie swamp, is a rather pleasant surprise and an above average low-budget thriller. Despite predictable development, it is redeemed by its twist ending that I must admit I did not see coming and provided a fresh variation of the conventional storyline.
Shallow thriller with a fairly standard twist. Brosnan is by far the movies high-point (it is a shame he gave so much of his career to those awful fucking Bond movies). The plot and direction have a very standard feel, that won't particuarly excite, but won't leave you completely unentertained either. The final twist feels clumsy in presentation and can been seen coming from the proverbial mile away, but is satisfying enough to make "Butterfly on a Wheel" worth a watch.
Average story, predictable end-twist (saw it coming from miles away), bad acting. Just nothing special. And that 'camera-turning-scene' lol lol lol lol lol
Straight to DVD, but a better thriller than many that reach the theaters. If you rent this film, as I did, with no foreknowledge of the plot and few expectations, you may be pleasantly surprised, as I was.
This is what a Thriller should be like. excitement at its best from the beginning until the end with a very good and surprising ending. Brilliant acting from Brosnan and Maria Bello.
Two thumbs up!
