It's got the La Cava magic, Colbert is particularly fine, and the excellent supporting cast of Walburn, Dixon, and child actress Fellows work together well, but Melvyn Douglas is miscast as a stuffed-shirt, the screenplay is filled with male chauvinistic assumptions and structurally weak in many places, and everything just sort of falls apart at the end. Some nice moments, though.
