Rosalind Russell's psychiatrist is dumbed-down into an idiot once love comes knocking. In true comedic form for the post-WWII era, a woman can not have a life outside a man. Add in the trickery of the cartoonist suitor and her own father, and you have a not-very-funny attack on successful, career-minded women. Even given the mores of the era, this is gross.
