The songs aren't as catchy as RHPS and the "reality show" gimmick gets more credit than it deserves. That being said, the movie is still fun and the new Brad and Janet are both better than the actors they're replacing.

A mighty clever satire on the TV industry and reality shows that was way, way ahead of its time and is pretty much forgotten today. Just one thing is to be stressed - even though it was originally intended to be a sequel, it's absolutely nothing like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", style-wise or content-wise. Except that it's also a musical with great songs. Highly recommended; and don't expect to get all of it in your first viewing, the story and message are not particularly easy to follow.

Slightly absurd rock-opera. Although it's lacking the sting of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment is an interesting flick with some catchy songs.

Better songs than RHPS, and socially relevant nearly 30 years later. Hidden Gem I say!
