unapologetic and better for it

This was kind of an extended version of the Clive Owen Sin City segment. Paul Giamatti sucks though, one of the most annoying actors ever.

It's so purposely over-the-top that I can't help but love it. It some ways it feels almost like a parody of an action movie, and while it's not as smart as a Hot Fuzz, it still is entertaining as hell. I had no problem with the ridiculous action, but some of the dialogue was lacking. I understand they are supposed to be dumb one-liners, but they aren't even funny in a bad way...just awkward. It's only a slight annoyance though as there's only like 10 or so lines. Highly recommend to action fans.

Overrated as hell. Heavy handed satire is poor satire. This movie seemed to think it was much more clever than it really was. Paul Giamatti also has one of the most smug annoying faces ever. There are some good effects but the lines are groan inducing. It's basically a gag that goes on beyond the 15 minutes necessary to sum up what it's about.

Over the top and awesome. The movie's only mistake is having breaks in the action for plot.

Did not work in my opinion.

Not a great movie...but so funny. And so ridiculously entertaining.

Works as both a kick-ass action movie and a parody of action movies.
