Summary: When the great sorcerer Pappu (Jagannatha Varma) sensed his own death, he decided to pass on the family sorcery secrets to Kumaran (Mohanlal), his womanizer nephew. Pappu teaches Kumaran the mantras on condition that Kumaran would practice celibacy & passes away. Although Kumaran starts off his practice with dedication, soon he starts slipping away into temptation, succumbing to the efforts of Choorakkattu Raman Patteri, a Mantrik who was trying to destroy Kumaran's family's legacy of sorcery.
