Who the hell is the intended audience? I can't imagine anyone over 13 being all that into it, and for the general public it's not very suitable for anyone under 13. There's a lot of great Richard Elfmanisms in it though, and I liked its approach to voodoo. But somehow it just doesn't come off right.

No fun at all

Richard Elfman's classic The Forbidden Zone was arguably just as trashy as this, but it was really, really brilliant, wacky and funny. Shrunken Heads is just a little bit too dumb. It looks as if it was dumbed down for consumption by children, though there is not much restraint in terms of morbidity or even sexual suggestiveness. The result looks as if it's not really right for any age.

Bizarre comic horror that never quite achieves the atmosphere it needs to work.
