A brief documentary focusing on a tiny kingdom nestled in the Himalayas. This piece was commissioned by king himself, and presents the area as a peaceful, tolerant place... perhaps rightly so, I don't know. There's nothing terribly fascinating about it (the most unusual aspect is the queen, a New Yorker) but it's a gentle, pretty film, enhanced by Ray's own eloquent narration and another of his wonderful scores. At any rate, it's always interesting to get a glance at another culture.
