We have been getting screwed by the system. The system that forces us guys to like girls. All right? We're getting pushed into this. What if we just take the girls out of it? We can have our own system, it's a counter-system. And then, you do things together, you swim, you row, you... boat, you eat, you stink. We can just be guys! You can have sex, you can do it, you know, many guys at a time, but it's not gay

Wow I'm surprised how unpopular this movie is. I didn't think it was great by any means but I was entertained watching it. Sure it's over the top comedy with some cheezy romance (that's thankfully overlookable), it's still got some entertaining low-brow laughs.

There's actually some talent in this cast (Schwartzman, Segel), but the story here is just not interested in being anything other than a moronic "Road/Euro Trip" farce. I laughed out loud exactly one time ("I will call you lazer") and that seems like a Schwartzman ad-lib to me. Just bad, bad material.

Jason Schwartzman clearly has a lot of fun playing Ethan, a clueless, geeky and delusional pervert. There are a few decent laughs from his performance, but aside from him the film is pretty much devoid of merit.

I will start with the positive. The one good point in this movie is when Jason Segal walks in on the test at the ending and the proctor doesn't know who he is and he identifies himself as the guy who got hit by the bus. The rest of this movie is horrible. Its a cheap attempt at college humor, but it fails miserably. Everytime the nerd Ethan came onto the screen I just wanted to turn the movie off. Oh and its no Cheats. Nice try guys.

The overarching romantic storyline is terrible and dumb, but the cheating enterprise side-plot was pretty unique and led to some nice laughs. Schwartzman and Segel are both good in these early roles.

Aggressively bad. Part of the wave of teenage gross-out comedies in the late-90s/early-00s. Some worked, some didn't. This one didn't. I do like the song at the credits that remixes dialogue from the film.

If you never see this movie, you won't be missing anything. There's plenty of other school campus comedies out there that were much better than this one.

The instrumental music over the opening credits sounded like a Who song. That was the high point.

Its not bad its just a bit meh in places - underdone if you like. Also, am I the only one think the plot could have gone very differently? Pathetic nerd humiliates himself and coerces others into trying to win the girl of his dreams, only to get it rudely slammed back in his face. Sounds like an Appatow film waiting to happen, only the nerd would get the girl in that one.

GREAT funny subversive movie. Meta humor abounds, and the soundtrack is fantastic. Look for the Pete & Pete cameo at the end.

Jason Schwartzman brings new definition to the word cool in this hilarious comedy featuring Jamie King, Laura Prepon, Pete and Pete's Michael C. Maronna and a young Jason Segel.
