Score probably a little too high because I like some of Williams' work, and it is of course refreshing to see a film championing poetry and its worth. However, the film, in my opinion, is pretty mediocre, hell, even downright bad at points. But that might just be me being cynical about things. Strong spoken word performances in the ending and the one in the prison (though sort of a laughable scene) lifts the film, and it is worth seeing. Jsut not as good as I had hoped.

A little too much poetry for my liking...

One of the better tiny little independent films of the 90s. It's obvious that they had no money at all for this production, but it's a very well acted and engaging movie. Look, everyone! Poetry is exciting!

Nice independent movie of 90s. Saul Williams poetry is excellent and story as whole also.
