Though it lacks the polish of Jackie's later movies, this is still a fun movie to watch, if only to see what Jackie Chan was like when he was first starting out.

A fantastic kung fu classic with consistently great fights, and brilliant, funny gags. Hwang Jang Lee is superb as the unbeatable evil master, Simon Yuen is great as the sympathetic older master, and Jackie Chan completely owns the lead role, going from a weakling to a martial power. Dean Shek also deserves mention for his role as the cowardly, tyrannical villain in the local dojo. Beyond the terrific fights, the film is always funny, and never suffers a dull moment.
