Summary: DIG Mohandas (Ummer) had long been on the trail of dreaded criminal Sobharaj (Mohanlal) & finally kills him by accident. To catch the whole of Sobharaj's gang, Mohandas gets Dharmaraj (Mohanlal), Sobharaj's long-lost brother whom Mohandas meets by accident, to pose as Sobharaj & infiltrate his gang. Mohandas dies in an encounter, leaving Dharmaraj unable to prove that he isn't Sobharaj. Dharmaraj goes on the run, with the cops & Sobharaj's gang, who learned that he isn't Sobharaj, on his tail.
