The film really deserves all the praise received. This is a great story, beautifully told by director Billy Wilder and stars Jack Lemmon in a good shape and a beautiful Marilyn Monroe. But it is also true, that is so naive that today is a little silly. But it is a classic.

At worst extremely amusing, and at best uproariously funny. There wasn't a minute during this movie when I wasn't smiling. Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis are hilarious, and the sex appeal in Monroe's screen presence is off the charts. Add a script by Billy Wilder, and what more could you ask for? An absolute blast of a film.

a light hearted comedy where Lemmon shines and Monroe glows. Wilder has set the pace and the tone of the movie perfectly, yet the ending seems a bit forced. It's also a fine example which shows sex can be utilized subtly and tastefully. Monroe is brimming with sensuality, and keeping up with the transgender theme, if I were a girl, I'd probably go gay for Marilyn.
