Overall, the movie pretty boring, there is a really annoying little kid, and the interior sets of the castle are god awful. There are a few interesting characters and maybe a couple decent scenes. At one point, Wolf Frankenstein commented on how almost everybody thinks that The Monster is named Frankenstein, and I thought it was pretty cool that they pointed it out... but still not really that good of a movie.

A great sequel in the Universal Frankenstein series. Not as good as it's predecessors as a whole, but it is much stronger in some areas, such as camerawork. In the end, though, it is missing James Whale's magic touch.

It has some good moments, and I really like the scenarios, but that's all for me. The interest keeps falling until the end.

Some nice thrills helped out by a maniac score. Rathbone gives a magnificent performance as does Atwill. While solid, Lugosi's performance just isn't stand out to me. Maybe because for once he's not recalling Dracula people heap praise? Although Karloff brings some progress to the roll, he seems played out.

Rathbone and Karloff are as good as ever, but Lugosi as Ygor truly takes center stage. I also enjoyed Inspector Krogh's ratcheting arm.
