I am very pleased to be living in a world where somebody thought it was a good idea to create an abstract horror musical, and actually managed to get it made. Besides, this is fun, if you haven't been O.D.'ing on Bute shorts

An absolutely enjoyable and fun short which turns a musical montage of ghosts and ghouls into abstract shapes. If only more avant-garde works were as accessible and more available.

McLaren did this one with Mary Ellen Bute, whose other work has left me underwhelmed. This is most like the early stuff on the other disc... semi-abstract line drawings with a few neat effects. Kinda cool I guess, but it didn't really do much for me.
