Amazing documentary. Lots of pictures I've never seen before, interesting dialogues and clips. I am really sorry I started loving his movies after his death.

I gained some information, but not a whole lot of insight. I didn't learn very much about the man or his movies that I didn't already know. The most interesting part of the documentary to me was learning what his actors and what fellow directors thought of him. Overall, a pretty straightforward, good, documentary. I would suggest that you be familiar with Kubrick's entire filmography before you watch this film, because otherwise it's really of little use to you.

I think it'd be very difficult to make a boring documentary about Kubrick (particularly if you're going to use clips and music from his films - the 2001 section is my favourite), and this certainly succeeds. My favourite bits were actually other directors talking about Kubrick more than the information on the man himself.

As far as documentaries of this type go, more entertaining than most. Manages to give a truly in-depth look to Kubrick as both a director and person, with commentary from tons of interesting figures (e.g. Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, but also Kubrick's family) and lots of interesting footage and photography of Kubrick and his work.

Kubrick was a fascinating, immensely talented and somewhat misunderstood artist, and this doc does a decent job of letting us in to his world while highlighting each of his films. Needed more Woody Allen though.

Well presented and contains clips from all of Kubrick's work. If you're like me and adore everything Kubrick's done then this is well worth a watch, even if purely for the nostalgia and meta-film value. It's very interesting to hear the views from other top directors throughout the film. The behind the scenes footage just makes you appreciate Kubrick and his films all the more.
