A good old fashioned case for the crew of the Enterprise neatly wrapping up this generation of space travellers. A real hit with trekkies and good as a stand along film. Something for everyone, a mystery, some battles, dry Vulcan whit and Christopher Plumber as one mean Klingon.. Real Star Trek.

My favourite of the bunch! Wraps up a lot of the original series stuff and opens up the path to the "next generation" stuff. It actually feels like the crew is moving on with this part of their lives and onto their own futures.

Great way for the Original Trek guys to end their movie series. This is a stand out with drama, action, comedy and great Trek moments. I've seen this in High Definition now and not only is it a great movie but it looks AMAZING.

I am quite the fan of all things Star Trek, and I like this film quite a lot. There are some flaws of course but these are common to all Star Trek films, such as the Vulcans showing inappropriate emotions (to try and connect with the audience who might not know the Vulcans background). The story is good and there are not too many jokes that fall flat (See Star Trek V) but the thing that annoyed me the most was the Klingon general who only spoke in lines from Shakespear. That got old FAST.
