This is the worst Star Trek film with the original cast and for good reasons too; the humour elements are total failure and the entire set-up with the main characters been too old to do their jobs is depressing. Just look at the Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country for better view on aging topic. The special effects and costumes seem out-of-place as well. Simply a bad film.

Directed, Written by and Starring William Shatner. That's all that needs to be said really. Oh ok there's also the fact that Spocks brother (who has never been mentioned before, or since) Manages to band together a group of emotionally fragile idiots (like a Scientoligist on a recruitment drive) who take over the Enterprise and head towards the centre of the galaxy (and get there in a few days, which is fucking retarded) and Kirk fights God. Ok it IS worth watching once because its so stupid.

Dodge at all costs. The weakest link of the franchise, but admittely and fortunately there is nice acting in this, courtesy of Leonard Nimoy and of course, William Shatner. Never was a Star Trek geek/fanboy anyway.
