Summary: Three years after the events of "Star Wars," Imperial forces continue to pursue the Rebels. After the Rebellion’s defeat on the ice planet Hoth, Luke journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with Jedi Master Yoda, who has lived in hiding since the fall of the Republic. In an attempt to convert Luke to the dark side, Darth Vader lures young Skywalker into a trap in the Cloud City of Bespin. In the midst of a fierce lightsaber duel with the Sith Lord, Luke faces a startling revelation. (20th Century Fox)

The darkest of the Star Wars trilogy. The Empire Strikes Back bring in some great and memorable characters. Aswell as this it gives u more of an insight into the existing characters particuarly Han Solo and also shows Luke Skywalker start 2 make the move from boy to man and closer to becoming a Jedi. This doesn't have the same level of nostalgia as A New Hope but it does have the immortal line "I am your father" which has become iconic for a generation

I think it's a little over rated, and go ahead and sue me. But it's still an incredible film (and better than Return); it's darker, moodier, and more mature than the first.
