Really dumb sequel to an excellent movie.

This movie was god awful and it didn't even star Casper Van Dien, the Max Von Sydow of my generation. Not in that he's a great actor, but more like every time he shows up in a new movie everyone in the room muses, "He's still alive!?!"

The day I had nothing better to do than to watch this junk was a horrible, horrible day.

This movie remindet me about movies like Dawn if the Dead 2 and other crappy sequals. I didn't like this Vietnam thing, it worked in Alien but fails in this movie. And I didn't like characters at all. Fail as movie and double fails in everything else.

Not nearly as good as the first part but it has some cool features. the patriotism is once again scary. Good plot and acting but somehow the authentic feeling is a bit gone.

I've always thought the hatred for this sequel was unjustified. Sure, nearly all aspects are terrible and it doesn't come close to the original (or the threequel) but it still ends up being a nice, atmospheric Sci-fi flick, just try not to think.

I don't know if a film has ever given me a PSI of 0 before.

Virtually unwatchable badness. I watched the whole thing through to make sure it wasn't a joke. I would have preferred a punchline.

A weak, little body snatcher horror flick, which in no way is related to Starship Troopers

Seemed like Screamers + The Thing + Starship Troopers. I didn't think it was that bad for a direct-to-video movie, but it doesn't live up to the previous movie and its low budget really shows at times.

why did they bother? they probably spent 5k on the set and 50k on special effects. terrible terrible.

Verhoeven gone. Hope for franchise gone.

The only good thing about this film is that the lack of proper funding forced a creative approach to lighting. Throughout the film the sole source of light only comes from the actor holding a torch. It does add to the tone of being in a cramped, contained and poorly lit space. However the rest of the film is awful. There is no hilarious satire. There is no action. It's a very poor sequel which should be avoided.

What happens when you decide to make a movie after finding several quarters between the cushions in your aunt Maude's sofa.

don't bother... tries to capture the intensity and over-the-topness of the first film, but instead it just falls flat on it's face.
