Starship Troopers 3 was better than ST2, but it was still pretty bad. The religion/big brother sub-plot was a nice touch.

Nowhere NEAR as bad as two, with the machines introduced in three coming from the source novels as well as some other interesting twists. The first is still the best though

Casper Van Dien is back, but the effects are just terrible and the plot approximately non-existant. As many has noted, this is considerably better than the piece-of-crap that was Starship Troopers 2. But, certainly, that is saying just about nothing and this is, of course, pretty bad also. The very funny - and deliciously tounge-in-cheek - satirical parts were somewhat redeeming, though.

while the first one carried a razor sharp criticism of nationalism and military, this one mucks that all up by attempting to bite off pieces of religion as well. sadly, the essence of the book is still there, but it's fragmented and mutated into a more bland and less funded version of what it should have been. while it may have these defects, that doesn't stop it from being an irreverently entertaining movie.

Was pleasantly surprised by this. "Marauder" almost seems like what would happen if The Asylum made a mockbuster of "Starship Troopers", with it's low-budget effects and hammy acting, and astonishingly, it works. Fans of the source material will probably cry foul at the use of the Power Suits but for open-minded fans of the original, it's an entertaining watch.

I watched this until the end with the hopes that the annoying religious chick would get dismembered by a bug. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and I'm left with this empty feeling that I could have spent that 90 minutes doing something more productive, like imbibing Drano.

I give it a 5/100. Better than the 2nd, which I pretend I didn't watch. So that's something. Still one of the worst films of our time as opposed to Starship Troopers, which I still consider one of the best. But i guess that's what a budget does.

How is it that 11 years after the first movie the special effects really got this much worse. The guns look like they're plastic nerf guns. The sets look like something I could make in my backyard with cardboard. And the bugs... no comment. When the soldiers entered the marauder machines it was like some naked power rangers sequence. I half expected one of them to shout "TYRANOSAURUS!" It was a thousand times better than the second, and they had Rico back which was tight.

After the piece of crap that was Starship Troopers 2, the third part in the series is actually surprisingly good. Some of the scenes actually look good and there is even some good satire but SST3 is still nowhere near the awesomeness of the first film.

Better than Starship Troopers 2, but let's by honest that not hard at all, but still nowhere near as funny or entertaining as the first. It starts off with the exact same brand of humourous satire as the first so you think you're in for a treat but after that it turns into a generic low-budget sci-fi shooter with a few fare moments of entertaining humour but that's it. If you liked Starship Troopers you could give this a go but don't expect anything good. If you didn't like ST give this a miss.

Chapter 3 is back to the better quality film in the series. There's again a story, but it's nothing special. The prev. film was pretty empty (until in the very end). Output in here reminds from distant the Verhoeven film, even nude "shower scene" is there. Twists in a plot of prev. chapter has been ignored. So, this version can be seen right after the first one; you do not miss much if you skip the middle chapter.

Big bugs, big guns, starships, blood, gore, mechs, kid-friendly political intrigue, and even some gratuitous nudity meet made-for-TV special effects and awesomely bad acting - pure military sci-fi nonsense. Reminded me of the crappy pulp sci-fi novels I loved as a little kid.

Eh. Everything that the first Starship Troopers had... minus Verhoeven's biting satire, minus the budget, and minus NPH. Not a terrible way to kill a couple of hours, if only to see Rico killing some bugs.

I guess when you have a smaller budget, there's less time we can dedicate to fighting bugs. The aspect of religion in the plot was interesting, but it felt like it was borrowed from "Brave New World" and pureed so it could be spoon fed to us. It could have been done better and seemed to really only be in there to fill the gaps of (miniscule) CGI bug-fighting.

Better than two, but not as good as one. The hero is back so it brings some recognition, but the graphics seem a bit quickly done. Acting is solid, the plot is funny and the patriotism/nationalism is worse than ever.

Better than the second one, but it's like a bad two parter of a not great sci-fi show. This universe is a rich playground, but you have to play right. If they make a fourth a hope its a bunch of Mech action as that could kick ass. Better script, more tounge in cheek, and some better supporting cast and they'll do fine.

There is little good to be said about this movie. I guess the whole 'god' thing is supposed to be satire, but it's about as effective as a stick in a bug fight. The SE is terrible, mostly consiting of bad CG, rubber bugs, and shaking the camera in a half-assed attempt to hide the fact that the movie's production values were lower than a bully's lunch-money take at recess. At least we can thank Mr. Neumeier for the gratuitous nudity near the end! Hoo-hah!
