A good time capsule of the world before Phantom Menace. It's interesting to see in the countingdown.com line the bureaucracy, corruption and power plays that developed in a matter of only weeks. Unfortunately a lot gets missed either because the filmmakers were unwilling or unable to show the audience the true underbelly of the beast. Recommend People vs. Lucas as a more rounded alternative.

Weak documentary about Star Wars fanatics and the build-up to Phantom Menace. There was a lot of boring stuff about "the line," but the really interesting politics and disputes that evolved weren't explained clearly enough. The movie could have used more of the side stories. Also the whole thing felt cheap and thrown together.
