Rogers and Ford make such a good team. Ford's pacing allows Rogers to be his most effective, being witty and carefree without the danger of losing the audience or derailing the story. Ford adds a nice touch to a jailhouse wedding scene late in the film, directing all the participants to turn away from the newly married couple at the conclusion of the ceremony. The inherent respect of this moment by his characters is an extension of Ford's respect for human beings in general.
