Goes into a great and logical downward spiral, but it pulls its punch at the last minute (though it's got class enough to foreshadow the ending at least).

Ludicrous story with questionable ideas about gender roles and a lame cop-out ending... but deliciously fun nonetheless. You've gotta love a movie with a tagline like "Hell hath no fury as a woman scalded by acid"! A twisted revenge thriller/soap opera that plays out a bit like an extended "Twilight Zone" episode. Mann's noir chops are undeniable, and although this one isn't exactly noir, it pushes all the right buttons. I had my doubts going into it, but it turned out to be a really good time.
