Summary: Aspiring singer Nandan (Shankar) falls in love with Devi (Urvashi), with the blessings of their respective mothers, but Devi's father rebuffs him, causing them to plan to wed secretly. Nandan's friend, unruly Sunny (Mohanlal), Sunny's trusty sidekick Vinod (Jagathi) & Sunny's girlfriend Thara (Geetha) offer support & guidance, but their plans are foiled when tragedy strikes in the form of Sunny's accidental death.
