Summary: New transfer student Nami (Shim Eun-Kyung) moves from a small town in Jeolla Province to the capital city of Seoul. On her first day at the high school, she gets bullied by her classmates for her clothes and her accent, when a motley group of girls quickly come to Nami's aid. This band of misfits, led by the loyal and tough Choon-Hwa (Kang Sora), take in Nami as one of their own. This is a sweet little film about how important friendship is and how we sometimes lose sight of that as we grow older and the focus of our lives isn't entirely on ourselves. It's a theme that transcends culture and demographics, which made it very easy for me to relate to the characters in the movie even with my limited experience as a teenage girl or a middle-aged housewife in South Korea.
