Suspenseful and interesting although not that innovative

Very pretty, and it's genuinely good most of the way through, but then someone decided a villain was necessary. There are a few good ideas and honest attempts at depth, but they are left half developed and not sufficiently explored.

For about two thirds of the film this was a very well done science fiction/character film. Then (I won't spoil it here) another element to the story was introduced that just ruined it for me. I believe this could have been handled better. Still worth seeing for the interesting (and dare I say somewhat realistic) look at the challenges in space travel and the great visual effects and soundtrack.

A taut, tense and thoughtful sci-fi offering from Director Danny Boyle that after a slow start becomes a nicely done and nailbitingly paranoid thriller with a well written script and capable performances.

It started out very strongly with great characters and a very strong storyline as we watched eight astronauts work together to try and save the dying sun. It felt like the second half of the film was a little messy though, with the character Pinbacker being in constant blurry shots, etc. Some very memorable scenes as well as great acting did make up for it, but I think at the end of the day it could have been better. Overall definitley worth checking out though as I quite enjoyed it.

Feels a bit like Event Horizen, but more agreeable, not really a horror, and sometimes a bit slow, but I'd watch it again sometime

Good movie however somewhat predictable.

Packs every sci-fi trope ever into one movie, but contains an exciting storyline and amazing visual effects. I'm not really sure why this wasn't a bigger success in the US; it's got blockbuster written all over it.
