Once you get use to some of the old school anime designs it all seems to work well enough. There's a nice sprinkling of characters and the plot itself at least tries. Great music too.

A decent movie that has great action but cuts out its source material's substance and character definition, leaving the experience fulfilling only on a superficial level. Reuniting the old animated series voice actors is greatly appreciated, however, and their presence lends the dialogue an energy it might otherwise lack.

Solid fun, especially for comics fans. I imagine anyone who doesn't know who, say, Gorilla Grodd is, might find themselves a little lost.

Ridiculous parade of cameos, plus Captain Marvel vs. Superman fight, plus Power Girl's breasts, plus slash undertones, plus Batman piloting a giant robot equals Fanservice: the Movie.

You would spend your time better watching an episode of Justice League Unlimited, which has more storytelling and character depth in a half hour than this 75-minute over-produced waste of effort. The plot is just as exaggerated as the McGuiness-inspired character designs (which I didn't mind so much, except anime Power Girl); casual and seasoned fans alike should be scratching their heads at the sensationalized leaps in the story. The action is superbly animated, but ultimately pointless.

The animation ranges from okay to bad, Batman and Superman shouldn't look like body builders. The film does follow the comic story fairlywell, athough the ending is pretty hard to swallow. No the best DCAU film byany stretch. One thing it does have going for it is the great fight scenes, especialy agaist Metallo.

Definitely a sub-par animated tale, there's really not enough to please anyone here. Those not used to the DC Universe will find the less-famous characters confusing due to the lack of exposition, and those well-acquainted with the ins and outs of the Superman/Batman mythos are likely to be put off by the stilted, clumsy plot and wasteful dialogue. One to be avoided, unless you're a completist.
