My favourite Superman movie that delivered the dream of every comic book reader: the battle between super powered heroes and villains. We needed to wait for the actual confortration almost to the end of the movie but it was worth the wait. The plot with Superman wanting the get rid of the responsibilities and powers is well acted by Christopher Reeve but it's no suprise that the movie builds towards the confortration. Not as quickly edited as genre films nowadays but it's better this way.

What I liked about the first film seemed like it was much better in this film. This was a bit more of a fast paced very action oriented movie. I thought that the battle between the three villains and Superman was a classic. It was large in scope and it looked good using dated special effects. I even liked the ending with Lex Luthor getting involved that poisonous snake. Christopher Reeve really owns the Superman role and really seems to get it. Others have done well with but it is Reeve's.

Great continuation of the first movie. Good characterization. Wonder if they will "reboot" this one too?

The Richard Donner cut is probably the best way to watch this movie

Take everything wrong with the first Superman, make more of it, and let it dominate the sequel.

So good in so many ways. Christopher Reeve is a stud in this film. Dude's like 6'4''! I remember being so scared of the three exiled Krytonians when I was little. I modeled many of my G.I. Joe battles after that idea.

This is a classic and quite possibly the best superman ever made so far. Superman is finally vulnerable against a trio of villains that are actually badass enough to take him on. There's also some weird super galactic prison which really adapts the cosmic world of the DC comics quite well. Some quotable lines and some decent scenes make this noteworthy.

Richard Donner cut is the way to go. Zod is such a badass character.

Pure fun.

"Kneel to Zod!" I loved how they explored the inter-personal problems that come with being invincible and all-powerful.
